On Tuesday night, a 26-year-old man named Clinton Wanakacha checked into a room at Miathathia's guesthouse in Mlolongo, Machakos County, accompanied by a slim woman.
The next morning, workers at the guesthouse discovered Wanakacha's lifeless body slumped on the bed in room six.
According to a guesthouse employee, Wanakacha had booked the room for the night, and the woman had escorted him to the room.
Machakos police boss Issa Mohamed has confirmed that detectives are investigating the case and are searching for more evidence to identify the woman, who is the prime suspect in the murder.
The body was taken to the mortuary for further examination.
