On January 5, 2022, the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals gathered at Hermosa Hotel in Karen, Nairobi, for a crisis meeting amidst growing concerns over party defections.
The meeting, attended by Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi, Gideon Moi, Moses Wetangula, and Cyrus Jirongo, aimed to address the widening cracks within the alliance.
According to reports, the OKA principals were struggling to come to a consensus on whether to work with ODM leader Raila Odinga or Deputy President William Ruto.
The crisis meeting was held just before a media briefing, where the OKA Secretariat addressed the press on the ongoing developments within the alliance.
