On June 15, 2019, a disturbing incident shook the residents of Kware village in Kaptembwa, Nakuru. A mother, believed to be a non-resident, callously abandoned her newborn infant in a pit latrine, leaving the baby to cry out for help.

Fortunately, the cries of the baby did not go unnoticed. A kind-hearted villager bravely ventured into the pit latrine and rescued the infant, who was just days old. The baby was then cleaned and taken to the Mother Kevin Hospital, the nearest maternal healthcare facility.

Medical assessments revealed that the baby had suffered from insufficient oxygen by the time of arrival at the hospital. Despite this, the baby's life was miraculously spared, thanks to the swift actions of the good Samaritan and the medical team.

The incident has left the residents of Kaptembwa in shock and dismay. The police are currently on the lookout for the suspect, who remains unknown, and are investigating the heinous crime.
