Sonko's VIP Nightclub in Mombasa: A New Entertainment Hub ¶
January 5, 2022, marked the unofficial launch of Mike Sonko's new State-of-the-art nightclub in Shanzu, Mombasa, with the official launch set to take place soon.
The Volume VIP Club, as it is named, has been hosting test runs on Christmas Day and New Year's Eve, with notable guests such as Vera Sidika and her husband Brown Mauzo, and singer Tanasha Donna in attendance.
According to Sonko, the club's design is meant to give off a feeling like that of a lift, with slight movement up and down due to its unique technology.
The club boasts a capacity of 15,000 people and features luxurious decor imported from foreign countries, including gold-coated lion statues and Versace branding.
A VIP boardroom has been soundproofed to keep away the sound from the main clubbing area, while the dance floor is made of bulletproof glass that lights up in different colours.
Plans are in place to bring in local and international artistes for the grand opening, and the car park will have 24/7 security surveillance with a capacity of 150 vehicles.
