On December 18, 2021, a promising young life was cut short when Divinah Mogoi Nyagaka, a first-year student at Maseno University, passed away suddenly. The 21-year-old was laid to rest at her rural home in Mwabirundero village, Keroka, Nyamira County, on [published_at].
Divinah was a dedicated student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Agricultural Education and Extension (AGED). She had been in good health until the end of the first semester, when she proceeded home for the holidays.
According to her eulogy, Divinah fell ill at home and was rushed to the nearby Nyanchwa SDA Hospital, where she was pronounced dead before even being diagnosed. An autopsy later revealed that she succumbed to heart failure due to acute anemia.
Divinah was remembered as a staunch Christian who regularly attended church services at the Pentecostal Assemblies of God (PAG) church and a philomath who diligently worked to secure a position at the prestigious Maseno University.
