The African Women in Technology (AWIT) Conference is set to take place from July 18 – 20, 2019, at the Michael Joseph Center in Nairobi, Kenya. This 3-day conference, themed 'Awaken The Techazon Within,' aims to be the go-to platform for advancing the careers of African women in the technology industry.

Hosted yearly by IBOM LLC, the conference is free and open to the public, but registration is required via the AWIT website. This year's conference will feature a Hubs and Leaders Roundtable, a Cybersecurity Workshop, and a unique opportunity for interns to be matched with entrepreneurs and companies looking to hire.

According to Anie Akpe, Founder at AWIT and IBOM LLC, 'It is exciting to see how much impact the African Women in Tech series is having on women across the continent. Kenya is particularly interesting because of the growth of the tech ecosystem and the women who are pioneering the advancement of the sector.'

The conference has secured partnerships with several organizations, including Safaricom, GIZ 'Make-IT in Africa,' Metta, ALX, Meltwater, Nairobi Garage, Flutterwave, iHub, KamiLimu, TechMoran, and SFG Consulting. The event will feature a lineup of experienced women in business and technology, including Ariane Fisher, Malkia Judd, Esther Ndeti, Nekesa Were, and Victoria Peill.

Registration to attend or speak at the conference is available here.
