Homeboyz maintained their unbeaten streak in the FKF Premier League with a thrilling 2-2 draw against AFC Leopards at the Nyayo National Stadium on December 29, 2021.

Homeboyz had the upper hand in the early minutes of the game, with Michael Karamor coming close to scoring after six minutes. He found space inside the box but his rasping shot went off the side netting.

Four minutes later, Brian Eshihanda struck a low pile driver that was deflected wide by the wall for a corner, with Leopards' keeper Levis Opiyo left at full stretch.

Leopards struggled to create scoring opportunities, with most of their passes swinging sideways. Their first sniff at goal came in the 27th minute when Fasamni Ojo picked up a flicked ball from Kayci Odhiambo, but his left-footed shot was wide.

However, it was from Ojo's feet that Leopards got their opening goal after 34 minutes. The Nigerian forward found space on the right to take a shot at goal, which was blocked by keeper Godfrey Oputi, but the ball landed kindly on Wanyama's feet, and the young midfielder thumped the ball into the net.

Homeboyz were punished just a minute after a golden chance missed by Karamor had infuriated coach Bernard Mwalala, leaving him kicking bottles on the touchline.

But the lead was short-lived, as Homeboyz equalized through a well-worked goal scored by Yema Mwamba. The Congolese forward sneaked in at the near post to flick the ball home from a Mudavadi cross on the left.

Leopards regained the lead through Eugene Mukangula, but Homeboyz equalized again through Mwamba's second goal of the game.

Despite efforts on both ends, neither team could get the winner, and Homeboyz preserved their unbeaten run.
