Fertility Point, a leading fertility center, has brought hope to individuals struggling with infertility in Mombasa, Kenya. From December 27 to 30, 2021, the center conducted a four-day free medical camp in collaboration with the Kenya Primary School Heads Association (Kepsha) AGM Meeting at the Sheikh Zayed Hall.
During the conference, Fertility Point's team of highly qualified and internationally trained fertility experts provided free consultations to patients struggling with fertility-related concerns. The team also interacted with patients, explained available treatment options, and offered gift hampers to attendees.
Delegates and Mombasa residents have hailed the free fertility medical camp as timely and a welcome initiative. The camp aimed to debunk myths surrounding infertility and bring crucial services closer to the people.
Forty-three-year-old Amani Thethe, a beneficiary of the camp, expressed her gratitude, saying, "We are privileged to have fertility treatment services brought close to us." She added that she had been suffering from hormonal imbalances, which had affected her chances of getting pregnant.
For Jumuia Abdallah, 37, the opportunity to get free and personalized fertility services was a welcome relief. She noted that the stigma associated with infertility scares many people, resulting in a population silently suffering from diseases.
Fertility Point is among the world's largest providers of fertility services, with outlets in 12 countries globally. In Africa, it has set up a Centre of Excellence in Kenya. Since its inception in 2018, Fertility Point has offered quality and affordable treatment to men and women, providing first-rate diagnosis of infertility and effective treatments, including In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Intrauterine Insemination (IUI).
IVF treatment costs range between Ksh 450,000 and Ksh 550,000. Dr. Rajesh Chaudhary, Fertility Point's lead IVF expert, attributed the center's success to its over 65% success rate, which is one of the best in the industry.
Mr. Philip Gacheru, Director Operations at Fertility Point Kenya, attributed the need to hold the medical camp in Mombasa due to increased cases of infertility across the country. He expressed the center's commitment to expanding its reach across the country and helping more people fulfill their dreams of becoming parents.
