On a sunny Sunday 7th July 2019, Koroga festival returned to Tatu City for its 26th edition, drawing in a crowd of 4,000 attendees.
The event was a resounding success, offering a well-rounded experience that catered to diverse tastes. Guests were treated to a lineup of talented artists, including Them Mushrooms, Jua Cali, Samidoh, and the headlining act, Femi Kuti.
Them Mushrooms kicked off the show with a medley of their popular songs, including 'Nyambura', 'Itawezekanaje', and 'Manjengo haturudi tena'. The crowd was also treated to their iconic tracks 'Kenya Hakuna Matata' and 'Jambo Bwana'.
Next up was Jua Cali, who entertained the genge fans in attendance with their high-energy performance.
Samidoh, the mugithii maestro, took the stage and serenaded the audience with his soulful love songs.
Finally, Femi Kuti, the Afrobeat legend, brought the house down with his energetic performance, complete with background singers and dancers. The four-time Grammy nominee's music resonated with the crowd, delivering powerful messages through songs like 'One People One World', 'Africa for Africa', and 'Day by Day - Inside religion'.
