Christmas and New Year festivities are upon us, and as usual, banks will be closed during this period. This might cause inconvenience to millions of Kenyans who need to bank and transact, or pay for goods and services.
However, there's no need to worry, thanks to Co-operative Bank's freshly reloaded online banking platform, Co-op Net. This platform has been revolutionizing the way Kenyans bank, and it's available to all customers with access to a laptop, smartphone, or smart TV with internet connection.
According to the bank, Co-op Net is not only available to Co-operative Bank customers but also to non-customers who need to make bulk payments. The platform is secure, requiring customers to enter two passwords: one registered password and a one-time password received through an SMS.
Co-op Net allows customers to view, download, or print account statements for all their Co-op Bank accounts. They can also start, stop, or amend standing orders in real-time, transfer cash to another Co-op Bank account in real-time, and even transfer up to Sh. 500,000 to a foreign account in foreign currency.
Other activities that can be accomplished on Co-op Net include transferring cash to another local bank account in one working day, paying utility bills, making bulk payments, ordering cheque books, and stopping cheques.
