On December 24, 2021, Mediamax Network Ltd secured the free-to-air broadcast rights for the AFCON 2021 from the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

As part of the agreement, Mediamax stations will air all the matches from the semi-finals, while some selections from the group stage to quarterfinals will be broadcast.

The AFCON 2021 will be live on K24 TV, K24PLUS, and Milele FM, with 1Xbet, VISA, Total Energy, and Orange serving as official sponsors of the tournament.

CAF President Patrice Motsepe had earlier confirmed that the Africa Cup of Nations would proceed as scheduled in Cameroon from January 9 to February 6, 2021, putting an end to anxieties surrounding the potential postponement of the tournament.

The first match to be live on K24 TV will be between Cameroon and Burkina Faso, set to take place at the Stade d'Omnel in Yaounde.

It is worth noting that KBC is reportedly in the process of acquiring rights to air some AFCON matches, although the details of this agreement are not yet clear.
