On December 23, 2021, a significant victory for Kenyans was achieved when the Political Parties Amendment Bill of 2021 was suspended.

South Migirango Member of Parliament Sylvanus Osoro expressed his opposition to the Bill, stating that it would undermine the rights of Kenyans by giving an imperial registrar the power to decide party membership.

Osoro emphasized that the focus should be on competing ideas for the betterment of the country, rather than personalities.

Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika also spoke out against the Bill, citing a lack of public participation in its development.

She argued that laws should not be passed without following the proper procedure.

At the burial of Ambassador Ken Osinde in Ngata, Nakuru County, Deputy President William Ruto and several MPs attended, including Liza Chelule, Vincent Kemosi, and Shadrack Mose.

Dr. Ruto eulogized Amb. Osinde as an outstanding team leader who left a significant gap in public service.

He also used the occasion to highlight the benefits of the Universal Healthcare Coverage bill, which he claimed would make quality healthcare accessible to every Kenyan without worrying about treatment costs.
