On December 23, 2021, Amnesty International Kenya reiterated its stance against the government's vaccine mandate, terming it counterproductive and a violation of basic constitutional rights of Kenyans.

The human rights agency stated that the Ministry of Health's emphasis on enforcing vaccine mandate guidelines would not address remaining pockets of public skepticism.
