British boxer Tyson Fury has confirmed that his highly anticipated rematch with WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder will take place on February 22, 2020.
The 30-year-old Fury, who is the only boxer to have faced Wilder and not been defeated, made the announcement at an event at Bradford's Alhambra Theatre on July 8, 2019.
Speaking at the event, Fury said, "The rematch has been confirmed and signed, 22 February. It's on, the rematch."
He added, "This time I am going to knock him out. This time I haven't been out of the ring for three years, this time I haven't been abusing too much alcohol."
Wilder is currently scheduled to defend his belt in a rematch with Luis Ortiz, which he had tweeted about in May 2019.
Fury's last bout took place in June 2019, when he defeated Tom Schwarz in Las Vegas.
