As a fan of comedians as a source of news analysis, I often find myself scouring the internet for shows that offer insightful commentary on current events. One such show is 'Late Night' with Seth Meyers, which I've been following for some time now.

One feature that I particularly enjoy is the 'Corrections' segment, where Meyers and his team respond to corrections sent in by fans, pointing out flaws in the information presented during the broadcast. This segment has become a favourite of mine, not only because it's entertaining, but also because it promotes dialogue and encourages fact-checking.

Speaking of corrections, I recently received one from Andy Mold regarding a statement I made in a previous article. I had stated that Covid-19 does not discriminate by sex, but it turns out that I was wrong. According to the data, Covid-19 affects more men than women, as a generalisation.

The correction was based on a report by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, which states that men are more physically affected by Covid-19 than women. I was impressed by the thoroughness of the correction and the fact that it was supported by data.

While I was initially taken aback by the correction, I was also grateful for the opportunity to learn more about the impact of Covid-19 on men and women in Africa. It's a reminder that even as a writer, I am not immune to making mistakes, and that corrections can be a valuable learning experience.

As I reflect on this experience, I am reminded of the importance of dialogue and fact-checking in our pursuit of knowledge. It's a lesson that I will carry with me, and one that I hope will continue to shape my writing and engagement with readers in the future.

Thank you to Andy Mold for bringing this to my attention, and to all of my readers who have engaged with me on this topic. I look forward to continuing this dialogue in the coming year.
