Published on December 22, 2021, Maxwell Mitei's journey into politics began at a young age. As a 24-year-old, he has already made a name for himself in the political arena.
From Student Politics to Entrepreneurship ¶
Maxwell's political experience started in 2018 when he served as a commissioner in the University of Kabianga student electoral commission. He then vied for the Finance Director post, narrowly losing to Brian Jumason Bwire.
After completing his Bachelor's Degree in Literature and Linguistics, Maxwell pursued a Master's in Linguistics, Media, and Communication. He is also the Director of Ramaxco Ltd, a company involved in road and building works, and has successfully completed several projects, including building classes in four schools in Uasin Gishu.
Inspired by Martin Luther King ¶
Maxwell's inspiration stems from Martin Luther King, who continues to motivate him. He shares a similar vision with King, aiming to create a better country with equal opportunities for everyone, regardless of their background.
Maxwell's goal is to change the lives of ordinary citizens, particularly students who drop out of school due to lack of resources. He wants to be the voice of the many who are rarely heard and be part of a devolution team that provides legislation to empower the grassroots.
With his optimism and determination, Maxwell remains hopeful of clinching Uasin Gishu's Senatorial seat in the next election.
