On December 21, 2021, a breakthrough was made in the investigation of a missing person case in Juja, Kiambu County.
A 28-year-old man, Mr. Majid Nagib Abdallah, was arrested by Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officials from Mombasa at Karimoni area in Juja town.
According to Stephen Matu, the Mombasa County Police Commander, the suspect was booked at Juja Police Station and is awaiting transfer to Mombasa.
Matu revealed that the suspect had been trailed by officers after his 69-year-old father was reported missing, only for his decomposing body to be discovered in the family bathroom.
"It is a breakthrough for our officers who trailed the suspect after his father was reported missing," Matu said.
