On December 22, 2021, Akothee took to her Instagram to express her heartfelt gratitude to Nelly Oaks for being by her side during her recovery period after being hospitalized due to an undisclosed ailment.
Akothee's emotional post was filled with praise for her significant other, who she credited with making her time in the hospital easier and hastening her recovery.
"I will still choose you, KING, in any other given chances. Thank you Lord for the gift of life and a loving husband, I have nothing to give Baba Elizabeth @nellyoaks may God bless you abundantly," Akothee wrote.
She revealed that Nelly's presence in the hospital made a significant difference in her recovery, saying, "The hospital would have been a prison without you. I had my world with me that gave me an easy time to recover."
Akothee also offered words of advice to those trying out love, urging them to be patient with their partners and never compare their relationship with those of friends. She emphasized the importance of valuing and prioritizing each other in a relationship.
"Love whoever loves you, give your relationship the best. Never compare the grass in your neighbourhood, just water yours your way. Never hurt those who love you. They might not hurt you back, but might choose to walk away forever," she advised.
