Mzee Paul Kinuthia's life was forever changed in July 2016 when he received the devastating news that his son, Willy Kimani, had been brutally murdered and his body dumped in a river in Machakos County.

Kimani, 32, was killed alongside his client, Josephat Mwendwa, and a taxi driver after a court appointment. The lawyer was representing Mwendwa, who had allegedly been shot by a police officer.

Since then, Mzee Kinuthia has been a constant presence at court, attending every session in his quest for justice. Despite his poor health, he has been listening to shocking witness accounts, including a recent testimony from Pius Ngugi, a police informer.

Ngugi claimed that he was tasked with spying on the victims before their abduction and to discard the car they were using. He also alleged that some of the accused had been trying to bribe him to stop implicating them.

Ngugi's testimony has added a fresh twist to the case, which has been ongoing for years. He is charged alongside four other officers, namely Fredrick Leliman, Stephen Cherubet, Syliva Wanjiku, and Lenard Mwangi.
