On July 8, 2019, a devastating road accident occurred in Singida, Tanzania, claiming the lives of seven people, including five journalists from Azam TV.
The journalists were on their way to cover a live event in Burigi-Chato when their vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle.
According to Singida Police Commissioner, the accident happened at 8 am that morning.
