President Uhuru Kenyatta Hosts Christmas Party for State House Staff and Children

On Sunday, December 19, 2021, President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta hosted a Christmas party for the children of State House staff and kids from various children's homes at State House, Nairobi.

The day-long event featured fun activities, including live music, bouncing castles, face painting, and video games, among others.

President Kenyatta wished the children a Merry Christmas and happy festivities as they break to celebrate the holidays, while also urging the country to continue adhering to the laid out Covid-19 protocols to curb the spread of the pandemic.

Earlier in November 2021, the President had treated State House Staff to a party to celebrate their achievement in emerging as the second-best performing State Department.

"State House being the place where the President resides, I think you have done the country proud. If the place where His Excellency is residing is doing well then you are sure he will be able to deliver on his mandate," Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Public Service, Gender Margaret Kobia stated.

Also in attendance at the party were Public Service PS Mary Kimonye, State House Chief of Staff, Nzioka Waita, and Chief of Staff in the Office of the First Lady, Constance Gikonyo, State House Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Policy and Strategy, Ruth Kagia, the President's SME Advisor, Anne Mutahi, and State House Spokesperson, Kanze Dena Mararo.
