On Saturday, hundreds of mourners gathered in Budira village, Sabatia Constituency to bid farewell to ANC Party Leader Musalia Mudavadi's stepmother, Rosebella Jerono Mudavadi, who passed away three weeks ago in Virginia, USA.
At the burial service, attended by ODM leader Raila Odinga, various leaders took to the stage to deliver political speeches, urging Mudavadi not to relent in his quest for the presidency next year.
Among those who spoke were Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala, who called on the Luhya nation to remain solidly behind Mudavadi, and Sabatia MP Alfred Agoi, who asked OKA leaders to remain united and ensure they produce the next President.
Woman Rep Beatrice Adagala also spoke, saying that the two-horse race narrative being peddled was a making of few individuals and the media to discredit other candidates.
Raila Odinga, in his speech, called on Kenyans to maintain peace as they head to the elections, urging politicians to engage in campaigns devoid of abuses and be respectful of each other.
