On December 17, 2021, Sauti Sol's Bien Aime Baraza spoke out against rumors surrounding his marriage to dancer Chiki Kuruka.
During an interview on a local TV station, Bien clarified that he is not in an open marriage, urging those who are not married to refrain from commenting on his relationship.
"Guys, I'm not in an open relationship. I'm not in an open marriage. If you're not married, don't ever comment about my marriage because you don't know how it feels," he said.
Bien emphasized that his relationship with Chiki goes beyond physical intimacy, focusing on building a dynasty and generational wealth together.
"My relationship with my wife is all about what we are building together in terms of our dynasty, what we are building together in terms of our generational wealth and what we are doing together to leave the world a better place," Bien stated.
Earlier in June, rumors had circulated that Bien and Chiki were in an open marriage, following comments he made on the Sol Family show.
However, Chiki later clarified that Bien's comments were taken out of context, and that they both value honesty and communication in their relationship.
"Bien and I were cracking jokes on Sol Family, and that's how a comment was interpreted. However, we both deeply agree with honesty and communication, even if that includes lusting over celebs," she said.
