GOtv has marked another milestone in its expansion plans in Kenya with the commissioning of a new transmission site in Bomet. The new site, which is the 26th to be launched by the company, will provide customers in Bomet and surrounding areas with access to more channels, clearer signal, and unmatched local and international entertainment.
The new site is part of GOtv's signal expansion plan, which aims to own a total of 30 transmission sites in Kenya by March 2022. The company has already launched four new sites in the coming months, with plans to launch more in the future.
Speaking during the launch event, Simon Langat, County Secretary of Bomet County, expressed his gratitude to GOtv for the investment in the county. 'The residents of Bomet are very happy with the work MultiChoice has put in to ensure that we can now enjoy affordable entertainment on GOtv. The boosting of the signal in this region will provide more people with access to news and entertainment,' he said.
Nancy Matimu, MultiChoice Kenya Managing Director, noted that GOtv remains committed to offering more choice and great value through affordable packages that are tailor-made to suit a variety of customers. 'With award-winning local shows and great international entertainment available on over 70 channels, there is no shortage of content on the platform,' she said.
GOtv customers in Bomet can now enjoy wholesome family entertainment on over 70 local and international channels, including award-winning Kenyan shows. The company offers five packages on GOtv – Supa, Max, Plus, Value, and Lite – which cater to different viewing needs and budgets.
GOtv Supa package, which is available for Sh. 1,499 a month, offers local shows on Maisha Magic Plus, including new and returning Our Perfect Wedding, Varshita, Kina S2, Kovu S2, Selina, Pete, Hullabaloo Estate, Nyanya Rukia, The Turn Up, and Pambio Live. Other local entertainment channels on the GOtv Supa package are Maisha Magic Poa and Mambo Moto channel, with shows from across the region.
Customers can purchase the GOtv decoder plus one-month GOtv Plus subscription for only Sh. 1299 by simply dialing 423#, or via online platform Jumia, or at any dealer outlet or select supermarkets countrywide. Customers have the option to upgrade to a package that best suits their viewing needs after purchase.
