Published on December 16, 2021, Raila Odinga has cleared the air about his health following days of speculations.
His retreat after the Azimio la Umoja national convention sparked concerns about his health.
However, Raila maintained that he is in good shape, attributing his decision to take a break to his doctor's advice.
He revealed that he flew to Mombasa on Tuesday for a three-day vacation to refresh his mind and body after exhaustive campaigns around the country to pitch his fifth presidential bid.
‘I’m in Mombasa to rest for three days. I’m not doing any meetings. I was advised to rest after the Kasarani event. After the three days, I will talk to different people and groups,’ he said.
Several governors and cabinet secretaries have expressed their support for Raila's presidential bid, including Kilifi Governor Amoson Kingi and Defence Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa.
