Avril Lavigne's latest single, 'I Fell In Love With the Devil,' has taken a dark turn, leaving some of her Christian fans feeling upset and offended.
The song's lyrics, which compare a toxic romance to the devil, have been interpreted by some as a declaration of love for Satan, sparking heated debates in the comments section of her Instagram post.
One fan wrote, 'Are u Christian? Or you are mocking of Jesús?' while another commented, 'You need Jesus… God saved you and blessed you with another opportunity to choose. Now you have this crap?'
However, not all of her fans were offended by the new look. Some are celebrating it, with one fan enthusiastically writing, 'GOTH AVRIL IS BACK Y'ALL BETTER STREAM THIS SINGLE OK.'
Avril Lavigne's style has evolved over the years, but she became famous in the early 2000s with an edgy punk look and singles like 'Sk8er Boi,' 'Complicated,' and 'I'm with You.'
