Comedian Eric Omondi has been making headlines since his breakup with Italian girlfriend Chantal Graziola in May. The news came as a shock to fans who were expecting a Sh80 million wedding before the end of the year.

Speaking about his plans moving forward, Eric notes that marriage is important but there's no rush. He believes that this generation is rushing into marriage without taking the time to know each other.

"Marriage is very important, but I feel as a generation, we are rushing into things. I believe this because I have witnessed it around me. We get into a relationship, then quickly have weddings, when in reality, we need time to know each other and understand what we are getting into," he said, adding, "Marriage needs to be considered at the right time, with the right person."

Eric has been doing comedy at a top level for almost a decade now, and he has gained significant wealth. However, he emphasizes that money and wealth should not be the focus of what one does. Instead, they should be a by-product, a tool to make one achieve more.

Eric has experienced personal loss, having lost his brother Joseph Omondi, who had been battling drug addiction for years. He has also lost both his parents and grandparents. Despite these experiences, Eric says he doesn't fear death.

"I do not fear death. I have lost both parents, my grandparents and recently my brother. No one should fear death, it happens to all of us," he said.

Eric also expressed his condolences for the loss of Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore, who he felt had stood by him throughout his career and supported his creativity.
