Published on July 7, 2019, barely a day after Uganda's elimination from the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, Uganda Cranes coach Sébastien Desabre has quit his position.

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (Fufa) released a statement explaining that the French coach and his employer had 'mutually agreed to terminate the contract between the two parties.'

According to the statement, both Fufa and Desabre mutually agreed to terminate the contract on July 6, 2019, for the benefit and growth of both parties.

Desabre's departure comes after a brief stint in Egypt, where he coached top-flight side Ismailia. He has already been linked to a return to the North African country and even as a replacement to compatriot Sebastian Migne as Harambee Stars coach.
