On July 7, 2019, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, revealed photographs from their son Archie's top-secret christening on Instagram.
The royal couple shared the snap with their near 9 million followers, expressing their gratitude for the public's kindness and support since Archie's birth.
The intimate ceremony took place in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle, with only 25 guests in attendance, including the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.
Among the guests were the Duchess of Cornwall, The Prince of Wales, Ms Doria Ragland, Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale, The Duke of Cambridge, and The Duchess of Cambridge.
Notably, Lady Jane Fellowes and Lady Sarah McCorquodale, Princess Diana's sisters, were prominently featured in the official picture as a touching tribute to Harry's mother.
The royal couple has faced criticism for keeping the event private, despite recently renovating Frogmore cottage at a cost of £2.4 million, which was funded by the public.
Sharing the snaps, the happy couple wrote that they'd loved celebrating the day with the godparents of Archie, although they chose not to reveal their names.
They also expressed their gratitude to the public for welcoming their firstborn and celebrating this special moment.
Alongside the two pictures from the event, they wrote: 'This morning, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was christened in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle at an intimate service officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.'
