Attack on Ethic Entertainment Crew at Koroga Festival ¶
Members of Ethic Entertainment group were attacked at the Koroga Festival held on Saturday, July 6, 2019, in Nairobi.
The upcoming Kenyan music group took to Twitter to share their ordeal, alleging that guards from Kenyan security company 'K9' viciously attacked the group's members, their hype man, DJ, and driver.
According to Ethic Entertainment, the group was performing as headliners for the Koroga Festival's Saturday edition, having previously done an event with the organizers without any issues.
However, the treatment they received this time was 'more than hostile,' with four of their members, including their DJ, hypeman, Zilla, and driver, being brutally injured and hospitalized.
Ethic Entertainment blamed Koroga organizers for the incident, terming it as 'targeted violence' and threatened to press legal charges for the alleged incident.
The group also called out event organizers for not providing local talents with first-class security details and superstar treatment like they do for international artists.
Support for Ethic Entertainment's cause came from social media personality Xtiandela and Billy Miya, CEO of Mideyah Media and award-winning media personality at Radio Maisha.
Ethic Entertainment crew members also called on their loyal fans to remain loyal to their cause, stating that they're working hard to make sure local talents are respected and supported.

Ethic Entertainment became popular in Kenya after their biggest breakout in Kenya's music scene in 2018.
The group comprises four members: Rekless, Swat, Zilla, and Seska.
Koroga Festival organizers have yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
