On July 7, 2019, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry released official photos from their son Archie's christening, held at Windsor Castle. The private ceremony was attended by the royal family and Meghan's mother, Doria.
The couple chose to include several sweet family details in the photos, including the historical gown and the Ivy Font. However, it was the nods to Princess Diana that truly made the photos special.
Princess Diana's two sisters, Lady Jane Fellowes and Lady Sarah McCorquodale, were included in the official photos, standing directly behind Meghan and smiling at the camera. This was a departure from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's family photos for Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, which did not include the princes' aunts.
Furthermore, the bench that Meghan, Harry, and Archie were sitting on held a very sweet meaning. It was the same chair that Princess Diana and the Queen sat on in the official photos from Harry's christening.
The photos were a lovely tribute to Princess Diana, and fans around the world were delighted by the sweet snaps.
