A court case has been filed against Narok Senator Ledama Olekina, alleging that he has neglected his one-year-old son's needs.
The child's mother, represented by Lawyer Ojijo Kepher, is seeking monthly child support of Sh350,000.
She is also seeking an order to compel the senator to pay interim maintenance of Sh200,000 pending the hearing and determination of the case.
According to court papers, the woman met Senator Ledama Ole Kina in September 2019, and they developed an intimate relationship.
She gave birth to their son on October 20, 2020, but claims that Senator Ledama cut off communication with her after she informed him of the pregnancy.
When the child was born, she requested Senator Ledama to take responsibility, but he allegedly gave her a cold shoulder.
She has since single-handedly catered for all the needs of the minor, including shelter, clothing, food, nanny services, and medical bills, without any assistance from Senator Ledama.
She has attached medical bills and receipts in the court papers to support her claims.
She has also attached a breakdown of how the Sh350,000 will be utilized, including house help, food, medical expenses, shelter, clothing, entertainment, utility bills, and service charges.
