On Monday, the High Court reaffirmed its November 11 ruling that DCI George Kinoti must serve a four-month prison sentence, dismissing his fourth attempt to have the decision overturned.

Chief Justice Antony Mrima emphasized that Kinoti must report to the prison authorities as directed, stating, 'The court's decision of November 11 that Kinoti must serve the four-month sentence will stand. He is required to surrender himself to the prison authorities as ordered.'

Justice Mrima also dismissed Kinoti's claim, made through his lawyer Cecil Miller, that the 'arms body' responsible for storing firearms should be held accountable, not the DCI himself. Miller had argued that the 'arms body' was the one that should be charged, not Kinoti.
