On November 25, 2021, the High Court delivered a significant ruling in favor of former Jubilee Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura, declaring his expulsion from the party illegal, null, and void.

According to the court's decision, Mwaura's deregistration from the Jubilee party was a result of an unfair process, and he was entitled to his seat.

Isaac Mwaura's journey to reclaim his seat began after the Political Parties Tribunal upheld the decision of Jubilee's National Committee to expel him, citing disloyalty and allegiance to Deputy President William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.

Following his expulsion, the Jubilee management board nominated former Samburu Senator Sammy Leshore to fill the leadership void left by Mwaura.

Undeterred, Mwaura sought legal recourse, moving to court to stop the Speaker of the Senate, Ken Lusaka, from declaring the seat vacant pending the hearing and determination of the case.

However, Mwaura's efforts were met with a setback when the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairman, Wafula Chebukati, issued a gazette notice on May 11, 2021, stating that Mwaura was disqualified as a member of the Senate representing people with disabilities.

Mwaura has consistently maintained that his expulsion and disqualification were politically motivated, allegedly orchestrated by President Uhuru Kenyatta's close associates to undermine his association with DP Ruto's UDA party.

As a key figure in the hustler nation's empowerment programs, Mwaura has remained committed to his relationship with Deputy President Ruto, spearheading initiatives such as donating simple machines to marginalized communities.
