On Saturday, July 6, 2019, Greensharks and Lakers made significant strides in the men's and women's hockey Premier League, claiming vital victories that propelled them up the standings.

At City Park Stadium, Greensharks edged Western Jaguars 3-2, securing a slim win that lifted them to fourth place in the men's league with 12 points.

Meanwhile, Lakers dominated Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology 2-0 at Kisumu Simba ground, moving them into second place in the men's league with 11 points.

Chris Wokila scored a double for Greensharks, including a penalty corner goal in the 11th minute and a field goal in the 41st minute. Benson Mawich also contributed to the win with a field goal in the 23rd minute.

For Jaguars, Willis Malesi levelled the score in the 23rd minute, while Conrad Bihembo pulled one back in the 57th minute with a penalty goal.

In the women's league, Lakers and Telkom tied at the top with 11 points each, while Amira Sailors forced former champions Sliders to a 1-1 draw at City Park.
