On November 22, 2021, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko leaked a video that has left many tongues wagging on social media.
The video shows Sonko engaging in a phone conversation with Merry Nkatha, a former banker, who claims to be a National Intelligence Service officer.
During the call, Sonko is seen drinking Hennessy and asks Nkatha to show him her private parts, which she gladly does.
Nkatha claims that she was kidnapped by Sonko's men and forced to participate in the video, which was allegedly part of a plot to expose top judges in graft allegations.
According to Nkatha, she was given a written script by her captors, which she was forced to read during the call.
The video has sparked a heated debate, with many calling for Sonko's resignation.
"They ordered me to read what was written on paper when responding to Sonko's call at gunpoint," Nkatha said while in Police in Karen.
