On November 20, 2021, Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp's heated exchange with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta sparked the home crowd at Anfield, foreshadowing a dismal outcome for the north London side.
Arsenal's eight-game unbeaten run came to an end as Liverpool secured a 4-0 Premier League victory, a result that has not been seen at Anfield since 2012 when Arteta was still a player for the team.
"It is one of the toughest places to play football in Europe and in the moment something goes a little bit wrong or the timing is not right, you get punished and they deserved to win the game," Arteta said in a post-match interview.
Arteta emphasized the importance of learning from their mistakes, stating, "I don't like learning like that, but there's a lot of learning that we can take from the game for sure. One of the biggest learnings after a disappointing result is focus tomorrow on the next one."
Arsenal, currently fifth in the league standings with 20 points from 12 games, will host Newcastle United on Saturday.
