Google has announced the pre-order availability of its new Pixel Stand 2nd gen wireless charger, designed specifically for the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
As of November 19, 2021, the charger is available for pre-order, with a price tag of 79 euros. The device boasts a power of 23W, making it comparable to a cable charger, according to Google.
Notably, the Pixel Stand 2nd gen is compatible with the new Pixel and all older Pixels that support Qi wireless charging, as well as the Pixel Buds. Google has emphasized that the charger works with 'hundreds' of devices, although it is not compatible with non-Google branded cellphones.
The base of the charger is designed to be quiet and vented, helping to keep the smartphone cool during charging, such as during Netflix sessions.
