On November 16th, 2021, comedian Eric Omondi found himself in a situation he never thought he'd experience - being arrested and taken to the Central Police Station in Nairobi.

Eric's demonstration for 75% Kenyan content in Parliament had drawn a small crowd, but as the police arrived, the group dispersed, leaving Eric alone. He was then forcefully thrown into a police van, sparking a moment of panic.

As Eric recounts in a video, 'There was a moment of panic when I realized I was actually getting arrested… When the OCS came and said, at him'. He was later driven to the Central Police station, where he spent 3 and a half hours in the cells.

Eric's ordeal has not deterred him from his plans, and he has announced his next demonstration for November 23rd.
