On November 18, 2021, a meeting at the Great Rift Lodge in Naivasha brought together representatives from over seven political parties, including Umoja Summit Party of Kenya (USPK) Secretary-General Madam Naomi Cidi, to discuss the formation of a coastal-based alliance ahead of the 2022 elections.

However, Pamoja African Alliance (PAA), linked to Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi, was surprisingly kicked out of the talks.

Attendees also discussed matters related to legal reforms from the electoral body and the role of political parties in ensuring peaceful elections.

Other notable attendees included Jimmy Ngala of Kadu Asili, Adam Mbetto of Shirikisho Party, and Benedict Wachira of the Communist Party of Kenya.
