On the eve of the inaugural Qatar Grand Prix, Max Verstappen expressed his unwavering commitment to his aggressive driving style, dismissing criticism that his approach was too harsh.
Verstappen's bold tactics were on full display during the Brazilian Grand Prix, where he forced seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton off the track on lap 41.
The incident sparked a stewards' review, with Mercedes requesting a re-examination of the incident. However, Verstappen was unimpressed, suggesting that Hamilton would have reacted similarly if the circumstances were reversed.
“If it would have been the other way around in Brazil, it would have exactly played out like that,” Verstappen said, implying that Hamilton can be just as ruthless when required.
Verstappen's comments come as the Formula One title battle between him and Hamilton reaches a critical juncture, with just three races remaining and Verstappen leading by 14 points.
