At the 2021 Dubai Airshow, Boeing announced its partnership with Kenya Airways' Fahari Innovation Hub, a cutting-edge innovation platform launched in July 2021. The partnership was announced by President of Boeing Middle East, Turkey and Africa, Kuljit Ghata-Aura, in the presence of Kenya Airways' CEO and Group Managing Director, Allan Kilavuka.
The Fahari Innovation Hub is an autonomous business unit within Kenya Airways, dedicated to fostering innovation and collaboration among entrepreneurs and innovators. Its primary objective is to address the aviation industry's current and future challenges by providing a platform for co-creation, research, and learning.
Boeing will support the hub by equipping it with software, hardware, and other essential requirements, enabling it to become a strategic innovation management center.
According to Kuljit Ghata-Aura, Boeing is proud to partner with Kenya Airways to support the Fahari Innovation Hub. He stated, 'We share a common objective to discover and empower new talent that will accelerate the growth of our industry.'
Group CEO and MD, Allan Kilavuka, added that the pandemic brought opportunities for reflection and innovation, enabling the presentation of new world-class ideas that became part of the solutions to the challenges faced by the aviation industry.
