Malanje, Angola - November 17, 2021

Kenyan businesspeople are eyeing opportunities to invest in Malanje province's tourism sector, with a focus on building support infrastructure and staff training to make the sector profitable.

According to Haggai Ouguki, the minister and deputy head of the Commission of the Kenyan Embassy to Angola, there is growing interest from Kenyan businesspeople in tourism in Angola, particularly in Malanje, given its potential.

Kenya has experience in the tourism sector and is willing to transfer capital and knowledge to make tourism in Malanje more competitive, Ouguki said during a meeting with local businesspeople.

He also highlighted agro-livestock as an area of interest for Kenya, citing Malanje's climate and fertile land as suitable for agriculture and livestock development.
