It's World Chocolate Day, and I'm savoring a piece of chocolate as I write this. The feeling of missing out, or FOMO, is starting to kick in, a sensation I haven't experienced in years.
Looking back, I remember my younger years when I would indulge in chocolate without a care in the world. My throat and waist could handle the sugar rush, and the pleasure of eating chocolate wasn't tainted by conflicting articles.
However, with the rise of the internet, I'm now bombarded with claims that chocolate is either good or bad for my heart, sex life, and even my chances of becoming a mutant by 2050. While the latter is an exaggeration, it's amusing to see the varying opinions on the matter.
As I Google chocolate facts, I come across articles like '7 reasons why chocolate is bad for you.' One claim is that chocolate is acidic in nature, which might increase the acid in my stomach. While this might be true, I'm choosing to ignore it and enjoy my chocolate today.
After all, as the saying goes, 'tomorrow will take care of itself.' So, I'll indulge in this piece of chocolate and worry about the consequences later.
