On November 11, 2021, Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed constituted a caretaker team to take over operations at Football Kenya Federation (FKF), citing the federation's failure to account for funds and beneficiaries.

Among those appointed to the caretaker team are KTN news anchors Linda Ogutu and Robin Toskin. Linda Ogutu has been appointed as the head of the Secretariat to the committee, while Robin Toskin will serve as part of the secretariat.

According to a report, the caretaker team's roles include conducting all affairs of FKF in accordance with its constitution, coordinating and ensuring smooth running of FKF's operations, and coordinating elections of FKF in accordance with the Sports Act and the Sports Registrar's regulations.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Linda Ogutu confirmed her appointment, stating, "It is me who has been appointed to head the care taker FKF Secretariat. But I have not yet assumed the roles."

The caretaker team takes over from Nick Mwenda's-led team, which has been forced out following the disbandment of the Federation.
