Two Phone Snatchers Burnt in Nakuru

On November 11, 2021, a dramatic scene unfolded in Nakuru Town when two suspected phone snatchers were burnt by a mob.

According to Nakuru East Sub-County Police Commander Elena Kabukuru, the male suspects were on a motorbike when they attempted to snatch a phone from a pedestrian, prompting a hot pursuit by boda boda operators.

The suspects were cornered at Geoffrey Kamau Avenue, doused in petrol, and set alight. Police arrived at the scene and rescued one of the suspects, who was taken to hospital in critical condition.

Unfortunately, the other suspect did not survive the ordeal and was taken to a Nakuru hospital morgue.
