Barcelona's financial woes have put several players on the chopping block, and Samuel Umtiti is one of them. According to reports, the 27-year-old French center-back has been told to leave the club by his bosses.
Umtiti, who has not played a single minute this season, is reportedly on massive wages, making him a burden on the club's finances. Despite the club's efforts to get rid of him, Umtiti remains a Barcelona player.
However, with transfer offers already 'arriving' for him, it seems that the club may eventually get rid of him in January. Benfica has already expressed interest in signing him, and other clubs, including Premier League teams and Turkish clubs, are also in the running.
