Kenyan low-cost airline Jambojet has introduced an in-flight entertainment system for its passengers, allowing them to access video and music content through their personal devices while on board.
The system, launched in partnership with Global Onboard Partners, aims to utilize the one-hour flight time to provide passengers with a range of entertainment options, including video, games, and reading materials.
"Our passengers spend one hour in the air, and we want to make that time enjoyable and productive," said Karanja Ndegwa, CEO and Managing Director of Jambojet.
The system also provides opportunities for advertisers and companies to promote their products and services through video or image ads.
"Our innovative platform is designed to provide a win-win situation for both passengers and airlines," said Kirk Adams, Managing Director of Global Onboard Partners.
At the moment, Jambojet operates flights to Mombasa, Eldoret, Kisumu, Malindi, Lamu, and Ukunda (Diani) from Nairobi, as well as flights to Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo.
Since its inception seven years ago, Jambojet has been growing steadily, offering affordable fares to its customers.
