Andrew Kibe, the outspoken radio host, has been making headlines in Kenya since his move to the United States. On November 9, 2021, Kibe found himself at the center of a controversy sparked by Eric Omondi's claims that he was being housed by an older woman in the US.

According to Omondi, Kibe's living arrangements in the US were a subject of discussion among netizens, who were not impressed by the idea of Kibe being taken care of by someone else.

"Mtu amewekwa na mumama has no moral authority to address anyone. Arudi Kenya afanye kazi kama wanaume wengine," Omondi had said.

Kibe, however, was quick to respond with a video where he was seen with a lawnmower machine, captioning it "I've landed my first job here in America. Hapa ni kuomoka mbaya( We balling).">

But the controversy didn't end there. Kibe has since taken to social media to stress that he is not relying on someone else to live comfortably in the States.

"Kuna msee amesema nimtafutie wamama uko. Who told you that niko na mmama? Who told you?.. This motherfcker called Erica Amondi. The same motherfcker who told you is the same motherfcker who told you that ile nyumba aliwaambia ni yake, si yake…" Kibe said.

He continued to troll Eric Omondi over his recent antics, advising Kenyans to do research before believing celebrities like Omondi.
