On November 8, 2021, Newcastle United made a significant move in the English Premier League by appointing Eddie Howe as its new manager, following the departure of Steve Bruce last month.
Howe, a 43-year-old Englishman, has been out of work since leaving Bournemouth in August 2020 after the team's relegation from the Premier League.
He has signed a three-year deal, which will keep him at the club until 2024, and is eager to get started with the team.
"It is a great honour to become head coach of a club with the stature and history of Newcastle United. It is a very proud day for me and my family," Howe said in a statement.
Howe acknowledged that there is a lot of work ahead for Newcastle to remain in the Premier League and expressed his excitement to begin their journey together.
His first game in charge will be on November 20, 2021, when Newcastle hosts newly-promoted Brentford at St James' Park.
